Situated in Nansledan, just outside of Newquay in Cornwall, our office is located on the new development by Prince Charles.
In his vision, they’re building a community of houses, work spaces, retail units and leisure facilities to create a community where everything you need for your daily lives is walkable.
To do this, they’re using local materials and local craftsmen to create a development that’s sympathetic to the environment, uses low carbon materials and in a way that’s sustainable and land efficient.
And Cornwall’s technology presence is growing. In their 2018 report, Tech Nation identified ‘Truro and Redruth as tech hotspots for third year running with 2,368 people working in digital technology occupations. Digital technology businesses in this cluster have a turnover of £50 million – up by 32% since 2014 – and generate £93.4 million for the local economy in GVA (Gross Value Added).’
Combined with the recent announcement by the UK Government that Cornwall Newquay Airport and Virgin Orbit are working in partnership to develop a horizontal space port, then you can start to see the vision for the county as a whole.
As has often been the case, the sense of community, relaxed way of living and the beautiful scenery and beaches, has long been a draw, and is continuing to do so as more people in the Tech sector move out of London for a better way of life.
